Is it possible to buy gold from African countries for way cheap price?

I got an offer about gold nuggets purchase from a friend living in Africa. But the price he offers is much cheaper than the world market prices (for gold nuggets). He claims buying from the source. There may be any scam here?

All offers for gold nuggets from Africa, that arrive from Internet and through Internet, are fake and fraudulent. You should keep this rule in mind. You may see on the picture how fake nuggets look like. They are all the same, in the form of a button. Those are made by using yellow welding sticks. It is impossible to find in the nature such nuggets. Further, such fraudulent offers are arriving from East African countries, such as Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania, and normally not from Western African countries. The trick is working because there are so many naive people who do not know nothing about the gold.
