I guess there is nobody in the world that has insight in that kind of question. I can speak out of my experience.
- back in 2009, I have noticed that gold as scrap is valued very little in Croatia, they have been paying 3-4 euros for gram of 14 karat gold, or regardless of which quality. In 2010. I have opened a company in Croatia and had business for next 2 years, when the market has changed due to increased competition.
- I was buying in Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia too. Scrap gold with discounts such as 10% - 20%.
- Then I went to Tanzania to buy gold. Gold is not cheap in African countries. It is wrong to think that it would be cheap due to “under development”. To receive cheap gold, one has to be established in the country and with the license to buy gold.
- Other countries with option to buy cheaper gold would be Bolivia.
That is what I know.
